Coaching
Sessions that start where you actually are — grip, stance and footwork first, rather than assuming you already own a racquet.
Who it's for
Most people who walk into a coaching session have either never played properly or last played at school. That is exactly who these sessions are built around. You do not need gear, a partner or any idea what a drop shot is.
If you already play and want to fix something specific — a backhand clear that keeps falling short, footwork that leaves you stranded at the net — there is a group for that too. Players are put together by level, not by age.
What a session looks like
- 01
Warm up and movement
Ten minutes on the court movement the game actually asks for. This is the part that keeps people playing into their fifties.
- 02
One skill, properly
A single technique per session, drilled until it holds up under pressure. Serving one week, net play the next.
- 03
Play it live
The last third is games, because a skill you cannot use in a rally is not a skill yet.
Levels
First racquet
Never played, or not since school. Grip, serve, basic footwork, and enough scoring to hold a game.
Improvers
You can rally and want shape to your game. Shot selection, court coverage, doubles positioning.
Competitive
You play weekly and want to win more. Pace, deception, and the fitness to hold a third game.
What to bring
Non-marking indoor shoes and something you can move in. Racquets and shuttles are available to rent or buy at the pro shop, so there is no reason to spend money on gear before you know it sticks.
